Yoga Etiquettes To Know Before You Enter The Yoga Class
You certainly do not want to be an annoyance in your yoga class. It is for this reason that you must know about yoga etiquettes before you join the class. Here are some of the basic mannerisms that you must follow when in a yoga class.

Remove your shoes before entering the class
Ideally, yoga is practiced barefoot. So, it only makes sense that you remove your shoes before you enter the yoga studio. This will help keep the environment hygienic and clean.

Switch off your phone
It is annoying to hear irritating ringtones during the middle of a yoga session. Think of it you are in the middle of a yoga pose and suddenly your phone rings. This will not just be a distraction for you but for others as well.  It is advised that you switch off your phone before you enter the class. And if you cannot switch off your phone, at least put it on silent mode.

Be punctual
Entering a yoga class on time is another etiquette that you must follow. There is no point joining the class when you have already missed out on half of the session. Entering the class in the midst can also be a distraction for others. To make sure that you are on time, arrive ten minutes before the class starts. And in case, you are too late, you might as well skip the class all together.

Respect the teacher
Irrespective of whether you like your yoga teacher or not, make sure that you treat him/her with enough respect. Listen to your teacher carefully and follow his instructions.

Keep the variations appropriate
Typically, every yoga asana has several variations, both- basic and advanced. If you are attending an advanced class, then you may opt for the basic variation. However, if you are attending a basic yoga course, then keep the variations simple as you may confuse others with the advanced variations. So, try to follow the decorum of the class as much as possible.

Go to the bathroom at the right time
Disturbing your teacher in the middle of the yoga session to seek permission to go to the bathroom is not a wise thing to do. Thus, it is advised that you go to the bathroom only during the rest poses. When you are practicing poses such as child's pose or downward dog, you can go out to the bathroom. Try not to go to the bathroom during difficult poses. An even better thing would be to go to the bathroom before the class begins.

Never ever skip savasana
Not many people realize the importance of savasana. This relaxation technique is an essential part of your yoga practice and should not be avoided.
