What exactly is jet lag? It is a condition when the biological clock of a person is unable to adjust to a change in the time zone. As a result, the person may feel totally out of place for a certain period before the biological clock readjusts itself. It can be a debilitating condition, which makes you feel sleepy during the day and awake during the night.

There are a number of poses in Yoga, which are helpful in overcoming jet lag. These poses are very simple to execute and effective. They can be a very easy way of removing the ill effects of jet lag.

One of the asanas is called the Suraynamakar or salutation to the sun. Another asana is the shoulder stand. The Former is in fact one of the basic yog exercises and is ashtanga or eight-fold. It helps rejuvenate the circulatory, digestive, endocrine and reproductive systems. The latter stimulates the various glands, more specifically the thyroid. It boosts the various systems and distresses the mind. This yogic posture is primarily carried out by means of pressing the chin-lock.

There are a number of other poses in Yoga. Each of these poses has a number of benefits. For example, you may try out the Yoga relaxation pose.
