Golf is a psychologically as well as physically tiring sport. You are not exhausted by both the amount of walking done between two holes as well as by the amount of concentration required to execute your next shot. Hence, it is imperative that you have ample control over your thought processes and your body movement.

Yoga can help you develop both. While you might have been already familiar with yoga's ability to strengthen the body, it is time that you also know that it helps bring a sense of calm and peace to the mind as well. Hence, performing yoga is highly beneficial for golfers. Here are a few yoga poses which you can do to boost your concentration and analyzing skills and strengthen your body.

Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Mountain pose helps attain a proper stance. All golfers know that this is an absolute must for a successful tee-off. The ability of your hands to execute a perfect tee-off would depend a lot upon how firmly are your feet placed on the grass. You can significantly improve the balancing of your body by practicing the Mountain pose.

Bridge Pose (Setu Bandha Sarvangasana): This is a beginner's pose to strengthen your shoulders. Golfers need flexible and strong shoulders to hit the golf ball to different lengths of the golf course. Too much stiffness can cause the ball to miss the designated spot. This yoga pose helps improve our psychological balance by regulating the body's breathing pattern. Practicing it a few minutes every day imparts a sense of peace and calmness.
