TriYoga is a hatha style inspired by Kundalini principles and consists of a sequenced flow of yogic postures, breathing techniques (pranayama) and focus (mudra). TriYoga was founded by the internationally acclaimed yogini Kali Ray. Initiated by Swami Ganapati Sachchidananda of Mysore, India, Kali Ray has devoted her life to spreading her knowledge in the field of yoga practices and philosophy. She has combined Eastern wisdom with Western tradition in this easy-to-understand style of yoga.
Music is an essential part of TriYoga. Use of props like bolsters and pillows is encouraged for comfort and better alignment. Fundamentals of TriYoga include relaxation in action, wave-like spinal movements and economy of motion. Various levels from basic to advanced are conducted at the class which gives you the option of staying at the level you are comfortable in. At every level, students seek to improve upon their posture, flow, strength, flexibility, endurance and breath control.
The basic level strengthens core alignments and is a necessary foundation. It is also a complete practice in itself. Levels 1 to 5 teach postures that are ranked as per their difficulty level. TriYoga is for everyone: Age-specific
