Practice of Transcendental Meditation
Transcendental meditation is a very contemporary method of yoga and meditation. It was devised and invented by the renowned Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Although, the technique is relatively new, there are a number of spiritual and physical health benefits, which are ascribed to this practice.

Research has established that the yoga poses or the asanas can bring about a reduction of five to ten years in the biological age of an individual. It can arrest premature-ageing.

It can also alleviate considerable amounts of stress and tension and reduce the chances of coronary heart diseases. Transcendental meditation boasts the morale of a person and improves the persona.

The practice taps out the creative aspect of the mind and revitalizes the mind by reducing fatigue. The yoga postures and deep breathing exercises stimulate the senses and fine-tune the  reflexes, thereby building organization and communication skills.

The technique of Transcendental Meditation (TM®) is very easy to perform and requires no prior yoga training. It can be practiced anywhere and at anytime. It takes up just 15 to 20 minutes.

All you need to do is to find a place to settle down and try to keep your mind blank. As you practice, you will find that your mind is travelling to its inner recesses. You will attain a level of sub-consciousness wherein you will find peace and tranquility.

There is nothing supernatural about the technique. It is purely scientific. It is not confined to any particular age group and can be practiced by all, from children to the elderly. We can say, Transcendental Meditation, is meditation at its simplest.
