How to Breathe Properly?
What is breathing? Any person will say taking air in and throwing it out. This is the very common phenomenon. However, to stay healthy, it is necessary to not only breathe but breathe properly. Well, perplexed as to how to breathe?

Conventionally people emphasize on breathing correctly. But the best way to breathe is to breathe fully. Basically, breathing involves two steps:

* Inhaling- This process involves the intake of oxygen through the nostrils in to the lungs.

* Exhaling- This terminal process involves releasing carbon dioxide or the deoxygenated air from the body.

Every human being performs these two steps throughout the 24 hours. However, to breathe beneficially, a little more than just breathing is required. Simple breathing exercises constitute 'perfect breathing' and help you stay fit.

Perfect breathing provides complete oxygen to your body, allowing enhanced blood circulation throughout the body. Breathing exercises aim at providing maximum oxygen to your body so that no corner is left vacant for any impurities to stay.

When you breathe in, you take in the pure oxygenated air. This air reaches all the parts of body and clears the blockages if any. The impurities get mixed with this air. When you breathe out, the deoxygenated air gets out of your body, taking along all the impurities.

Perfect breathing also helps to kill anxiety. Yoga has come up with a number of breathing exercises for healthy living. Of all the breathing exercises, the basic breathing exercise is the easiest one. You can perform it even when you are in a metro, at your office, at home or in the park.

Some basic breathing exercises

Simply inhale air via your nose. Now close your mouth and hold the air for a few moments. Once you start feeling uneasy, release the trapped air slowly. Repeat the process 10 times. You will feel relaxed and your nerves will feel soothed.

Belly breathing is another exercise to strengthen your diaphragm. Inhale through your nose in a manner that your stomach bulges out. Let your diaphragm relax. Fill your lungs with as much air as you can. Now slowly release the air through your mouth. Let the stomach get back to its actual position. This helps to accumulate the energy at a point below the naval. Repeat it for sometime and you will feel yourself full of energy.

Breathing exercises sound simple and are convenient to perform. However, they are beneficial only when they are performed correctly.  Sit straight and then inhale. Be regular and always breathe through your nostrils. However, the exhalation can be done from the mouth. Now that you know how to breathe beneficially, go ahead and make your life healthier and disease-free.
