15 Yoga Tips for Beginners
Yoga is a wonderful ancient discipline to invigorate and fortify mental and physical wellbeing. Take these tips if you are planning to start yoga and maximize the bright experience you draw from it.

1. The best time to do yoga is early morning.

Morning is when the mind is fresh and calm, and exercise can be done with sincerity and vitality. Choose an early morning batch.

2. Relieve your bowels and bladder before yoga.

Go to the toilet and relieve yourself before yoga. Also clear out the nostrils and throat of mucus. About 15 minutes before beginning yoga, drink a glass of warm water.

3. Wear comfortable clothes.

Wear shirts and yoga pants that are comfortable in fit - not too loose and not too tight. Clothes should not hamper your movements in any way and not distract your concentration.

4. Choose clean surroundings.

The place you go for yoga should be clean, dust-free, ventilated and without any kind of odor from the surroundings.

5. Remove your shoes outside the door.

Yoga is to be done barefoot, so keep your footwear outside and let the room be dust-free.

6. Switch off your cell phone.

Switch off your gadgets and keep them in a safe place. Nobody likes distractions; not least the teacher.

7. Be in time for the class.

Arrive early and relax yourself mentally and physically while others arrive. Skip the class if you are more than 10 minutes late.

8. Obey the teacher

Follow the teacher's instructions to the word even if you know what you are supposed to do. It helps in synchronization and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Respect the teacher always.

9. Do the variations you are comfortable doing.

Take your time to move on to the advanced variations. Don't push yourself. Be in touch with your teacher and don't hesitate to ask for help.

10. Start easy

If you are doing yoga alone, start with easy postures and progress to the difficult ones gradually.

11. Relax

Relaxation poses are as important as the exercises. They allow the energy you have generated to flow within the organs. Relax your mind and body completely within this period.

12. Breathe right

Do not ever let your mouth open, even after the difficult poses. Breathe through the nostrils, long and deep. You should feel more spirited.

13. Do them right

Yoga exercises pep you up. If you feel tired or exhausted, you must be doing something wrong. Ask your teacher to watch over you.

14. Take a toilet break

Your bladders should be empty during exercise. Go to the bathroom once during a break.

15. Follow a good diet

Yoga should be accompanied by a proper diet for maximum efficacy. Eat 4 small balanced diets a day. Never eat to the full.
